delay feedback

Postby msk » Thu Oct 20, 2011 6:17 am

hello otomachines & all!

i´m a happy owner of a new (secondhand) bisquit ;)

quite exited of the capabilities and variety of the sound. i like the character of the filter also, it´s somewhat subtle and pretty different to most of tabletop effect boxes have.

one thing that i haven´t got friends yet is the delay effect´s feedback setting. i feel that the feedback is always quite short until the last 100% feedback state. in other words the difference between other feedback levels and max level is quite big. i think it would be useful to have very long feedback but maximum feedback it´s too much gets very noisy easily.

just saw that there is an software update coming soon. don´t know if there´s any adjustments to this. but maybe concider finetuning this to next "OS 2.01"? :D

thanks!

Hi msk,

Thanks for your compliment, I'm glad you like Biscuit !
You're right about the feedback setting, there's a big gap between position 7 (50%) and 8 (100%).

The reason is that digital feedback is very noisy with 8-bit processing.
You cannot use a feedback above 50% or you will get an infinite noise!
Surprisingly, the 100% setting was no so bad so I kept it !
