Der OTO update failed. Biscuit bricked :(

Postby blooty » Wed Nov 30, 2011 8:49 pm

Hi. I just tried to update to Der OTO, and all the lights lit up as they should do, but it doesn't work.

Then I tried to re-load the version 1.2 firmware but that doesn't work either.

Now my Biscuit is completely bricked  . All it does is make a strange clicking sound and go dead or reset if I press any of the buttons.

When I turn any of the pots it makes the filter change from orange to yellow, but only when they are in motion.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I updated the firmware on my Shruthi only a few hours ago, so I don't think anything is wrong with my MIDI interface. :?:

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Update: I have just managed to re-load version 1.2 using Elektron C6 with a delay of 2000ms. It seems to be working OK with the old firmware now.

me too.

The trasnfert stop at 3 step buttons light and then nothing. I tried again by changing the speed of transfer and all the light up red but the filter button turn yellow.
No i can't downgrade in 1.2 and my biscuit is bricked.

I m tryin to load again maybe there is a better speed rate?

I m using a M-Audio UNO midi and nothing else in connected.
I have a macbook pro on LION.
I'm using SysEX Librarian.

I put the 'pause between played messages' at 250 msec (as asked) and the sysEx recieved time out a 1 sec.

Any advices?

Edit : I updated my tetra just before and i m using my midi interface for music so i dont think there is a problem but who knows.
Edit 2 : Best result 1 to 7 step buttons red lighted and filter button lighted yellow (speed rate 3125 Bytes/Sec)

i have little too no communication between sysex librarian and biscuit.

-1: at the start up, half the time i get three red buttons (good) and half the time two red buttons and filter gets purple. (bizar)
-2: when i press play in sysex librarian then for a brief moment the first step button lights up red but then biscuit seems to start up normally. (stops listening to sysex)
-3: i tried to put version 1.2 back, but same problem.

i use roland UM-2G as usb to midi-interface. (which seem to work fine in other cases)

biscuit still works fine at first sight.

Decrease trasfer speed for this midi port, increase pause between messages up to 500 ms.
