    Hi,
    Thanks!
It is possible to assign LFO to other parameters (even if I don’t how to implement that in the crowded UI!), but after some tests it was not so convincing.
Filters are stepped (4 LPF and 4 HPF) so you won’t get the possibility to continuously control the freqs with the LFO. I keep the idea for a future upgrade though !

    Hi,
    Thanks !
This mod was not so easy to do. Biscuit use SMD (very small) components, and the mod needed an extra IC and few passive components. It was not only few wires and a switch, and it requires some soldering skills.
I should make a procedure one day, with pics and a schematic. But it takes time and I’m quite over-busy with the new products. More infos may come this year about this mod, I hope!

    Hi Renaud,

Unfortunately no. For a small company like OTO (2 people in all!), it would be too expensive and risky to build more Biscuits in the future. The reason is that we can’t build only 50 or 100 units to fulfill the demand. We need to order parts in great quantities (like 1000) in order to have enough margin to build the batch.
Biscuit also needs few components that are now obsoletes. We had an old stock for the last batch (december 2015), but now we’ll have to redesign the boards with newer components. Again, too risky and too expensive for us !

    Hi,
    Sorry for the late answer.
Yes, 4 new FXs were added to the 8 standard WAVE effects with the revision 1.2.
You can access to these 4 FXs with the “4 F3” switch on.
Pages 36-37 of the User Manual explains the new features of Revision 1.2.
    All the best,
    Denis

    Hi,
The best reverse delay effect is obtained by recording the delay on a separate track of your DAW, and then reverse it with the corresponding plugin.
A reverse FX is planned on a next revision of BIM (free upgrade), but it’s not exactly the same effect (only short chunks of the delay are reversed).

    Hi,
We were so busy these last weeks with the last batch of Biscuit and the new batch of BIMs that we are a little late on BAM!
The prototypes are finished, we are now starting the industrial process, and buying the components for the first production batch.
We will post more infos as soon as the pre-orders are open, maybe in a month.
There’s a chorus inside BAM. It’s more a random modulator to thicken the reverb tails than a standard LFO.
You can only set its depth. One of the reverb is a chorus with a tail, but you cannot change the waveform and the speed.
The BAM product page should be online in the next weeks, with more infos (specs, audio demos,…).

    Hi,
We had a lot of work with Biscuit at the end of the year because one of our sub-contractor was late.
We do our best to make up for lost time. Most of the 150 pre-ordered Biscuits are already delivered or on their way!

    Hi,
When the Naked is set to its maximum position, the volume should be exactly the same as the bypassed signal.
Please do the following test to check if your Biscuit is ok :

    – Switch the BYPASS on and send a signal to Biscuit
    – Turn the DRIVE pot up until you see the BYPASS switch lit from green to orange quite often
    – Turn the DRESSED pot to its minimum position and NAKED to max
    – Check if you still have volume drops between Bypass and not

Please let me know if it works.

in reply to: Any firmware plans? #416
    Oto Machines

    Hi,
There’s no plans for an upgrade for Biscuit at the moment.
The last one (Der OTO) was a quite huge one!
Some bugs fixes and new features are planned later this year, but it will need two separate firmwares: one for Biscuit and one for Der OTO.
The reason is that there’s no more room for bug fixes or new features in the same firmware (as it’s the case now).

Yes, we have enough stock to build a last batch 200 Biscuits in december!
These units will be available for sale in december via our online store.
We also have a waiting list if you want to be sure to get one of these.
    Just let me know.
